The Process: From Photo to Heirloom
Every portrait begins with a story, your story. I take the time to learn about your beloved pet, horse, or loved one, their personality, their spirit, the little things that made them unforgettable. From there, I carefully bring them to life on paper with Nero pencil or colored pencil, using only archival materials for a timeless finish.

More Than a Portrait… A Treasure for the Soul
There are few things more powerful than the bond we share with our animals and loved ones. Whether it’s the warm eyes of a loyal dog, the soft gaze of a beloved horse, or the quiet smile of someone dear, these are the faces that shape our days and fill our hearts.
My portraits are more than realistic drawings. They are heartfelt tributes crafted with care, patience, and deep respect for the connection you hold so dear. Every fur strand, every subtle expression, every glimmer in the eye is lovingly rendered to capture not just what they look like, but who they are.
A Portrait That Becomes a Legacy
Time moves quickly. One day, the joyful bark, the steady hoofbeat, the warm presence by your side becomes a treasured memory. A custom portrait gently holds onto that presence - realistic, tangible, and deeply personal.
Whether your beloved companion is still with you or watching from beyond, a portrait becomes more than art, it becomes a touchstone of love. A way to celebrate a life well lived, to honor their spirit, and to keep their memory close. Many clients have told me their portraits brought tears, not from sorrow, but from gratitude. Gratitude for a keepsake that comforts, heals, and lasts.

Let’s Create Something Beautiful Together
If you’ve been thinking about commissioning a portrait, now is the perfect time. It’s not just art - it’s a gift to your future self or loved one.
A way to preserve the love that fills your heart today. I’d be honored to tell your loved one's story in pencil.

About Registration and Pedigree Portraits
A registration or pedigree portrait is a visual legacy. Unlike a standard portrait, a registration piece combines your horse’s or dog's likeness with the proud lineage that shaped them. Meticulously drawn in colored pencil, these portraits are especially meaningful for breeders and show owners, serving as a timeless tribute to both the individual horse or dog and the generations that came before.
It’s heritage, history, and heart on paper.
Order yours from the unframed colored pencil portraits section. Once you order you will receive instructions on how to mail your horse or dog's papers.
If you have any additional questions please email or call me.
I look forward to working with you to create a memory that will last a lifetime!
