The epitome of freedom - the wild mustang. The most famous of these fascinating creatures was Picasso of Sand Wash Basin. The old warrior was born, reigned, and died in the basin of northwestern Colorado and was known for his unique coat markings and two-toned mane. A colorful flash across the landscape. Free for his entire life, he was the king of Sand Wash and has become an American legend.
